PASSPORT baby

My dear friend Rachel sent Hutson a gift, a cute little shirt. A sweet note came with it that read,
"Dear Hutson- Long before you were born, your mom and dad both worked at a camp for youth groups from all over America called Passport. Your mom and dad met while she was the missions coordinator and your dad was the camp pastor. They kept talking and emailing each other and eventually fell in love and got married. That makes you a 'Passport baby!'"

That's pretty much how we met.

Stickers

Mike, Hutson, and I drove back to Houston to assess the damage to our house from Ike and to clean up to sell the house. We had no major damage to the house. Just a downed fence from the wind. We were very lucky. Here are some pictures from the weekend with Hutson and Mawmaw having fun with stickers.  

   

Friends

Hutson has some great friends in Houston as do we. Here are a few of them.  We all got together on Saturday.  Jenni and Earl gave us a going away party.  We had lots of fun.  Thanks Jenni and Earl!

Hutson, Sterling (Sabrina and Shawn's baby), Elyse (Sharron and Daniel's baby), Owen (he goes with Laura and Nick), Liam (Jenni and Earl).  
Elyse is Hutson's future prom date.  Hutson looks excited about this prospect!  :)

It's really hard to take a picture of 5 kids under 18 months!  This is the best I got.  (Owen- 7 months, Sterling - 2 months, Liam- 7 months, Hutson - 18 months, Elyse - 3 months).  

Our house is a very, very, very fine house...

I'm going to miss our house.  I love it so much.  It's our first house.  The house we took Hutson home to.  The house we had so many plans for.  I'm excited about the new journey in Austin but I'm so going to miss this home.
