First ride in my new wagon

Hutson enjoyed his new wagon and Callie tried our her new lens on her camera. I really liked the lens and Hutson enjoyed his ride.

A new friend

On Friday, Mike and I met Rachel Hunt Hill in Waco and we met Isaac for the first time! Hutson and Isaac had fun meeting each other when they weren't napping.
Isn't he gorgeous?!?

I loved these next two pictures. A sweet moment between momma and son and then my crazy kid's expression.

10 months old and Super glue

Yesterday I get a call from the daycare. I was at work and they start off with, "Don't panic, but..." So they tell me Hutson fell and hit his head and they think he'll need stitches. Stitches! He's 10 months old!! Part of me was thinking, "my poor baby." The other part of me thought, "Well it was bound to happen." So Mike picked him up from the JCC and called me. He said it didn't look that big but took Hutson on to the pediatrician's office. Well no stitches but he needed glue. (The doctor called it super glue.) Apparently it's deeper than it looks. So I'm sure this is just the first of such injuries that'll scare me to death. Here are his injuries.

Mr. Tough Guy! Apparently, the daycare said it didn't even phase him. And he was such a good patient and didn't get too upset by the gluing. There were 3 coats.

Hutson is 10 months old today! I can't believe how fast he's grown. Here are a couple of pictures I took of him today with our tree. Surprisingly, he hasn't tried to climb the tree or knock it over. He does like to touch some of the ornaments but we can deal with that.

The Reindeer

Mike's parents got Hutson this reindeer. He LOVES it. Notice the dancing. It's very entertaining watching him. Merry Christmas!

Photography

I've decided I really would like to learn more about my camera and taking great photographs so I'm on a pursuit to learn. I'm looking up great websites and I've bought some books. So I figure I'll post my pictures here and see what everyone has to say. I'm trying to shoot more where I control the settings of the camera instead of just putting it in automatic mode. We'll see how it goes.

This picture is a self-portrait! Ha! I wanted to see what the lens actually does when I shoot. Nothing amazing but I saw.
I took two of our nativity scene. I think they came out pretty neat. I had to convert them to jpeg to upload so it doesn't look quite as sharp as it does on the computer. Plus the angel is out of focus but I like it. I'm assuming I'll get better with time...let's hope. I'm going to try and take some good ones of Hutson this weekend.
Here are some I've taken recently (within the last month). First, is Hutson riding his new horse from Grandma and Daddy Jim (Callie's parents). He seems to really like it!

The next ones are some I took this weekend of Mike and Hutson. Notice how Hutson is really into reading the books with his daddy. I love the look on his face in these. He is learning to ignore me and the camera! Yay! Well, he might have been annoyed with the last picture.

Then I also took some posed ones in front of our Christmas tree. These were some of the better ones. Cute we thought.
