Swimming in Florence, TX

Last weekend one of Hutson's school friends invited us out to their family ranch in Florence, TX to hang out and swim.  Olive is one of Hutson's buds at school and her parents are pretty cool too.  We had a lot of fun swimming, eating, watching the kids play, and just enjoying each other.  Hutson has been recently enjoying jumping off the side of the pool to Mike or me.  He's still cautious in the water (which I'm so thankful for) but seems to be getting more and more comfortable too.

This is Ferris, Olive's little brother.  For the longest time when we'd ask Hutson what he wanted to name the baby he always responded, "Ferris."  I don't blame him, Ferris is seriously cute!

The Zoo!

Mike, Hutson, and I joined Laura, Owen, Sharron and Elyse at the zoo during our Houston vacation.  Hutson had so much fun.  He took great joy in knowing the baby elephant is named Baylor (Sic' Em Bears!).

Vacation

The week of July 4th we went to the Harper Compound for vacation.  :)  We all had a great time visiting with Mike's parents, Aunt Ti, Uncle Joe, and Grant.

Hutson read lots of books with Mawmaw.

He had a lot of fun playing with Pops in their backyard.  The sandbox and jungle gym were a bit hit.  Mike played on the jungle gym when he was a kid.

what we've been up to

So I've neglected to blog for over a month.  oops!  Life is busy and pregnancy gets in the way...that's my excuse.

I'll try and post what we've been up to all week long.  :)

Milo and Hutson playdate!  Milo is one of Hutson's best friends.  A few weeks ago Milo came over to our house for a playdate.  They had a lot of fun playing outside in the water, eating popsicles, and making a pizza together.
