Maggie of
No Mommy Brain inspired me to get Hutson a notebook to draw/write in. The kid loves to write and draw or some may call it scribble. Anyway, Maggie's son Liam has a notebook and has had one for year and it's all over his blog. So I thought Hutson might enjoy one too. So yesterday at the grocery store (our amazing suburban HEB-one good thing about living in the burbs!) I found some washable crayons and a sketch pad. Hutson immediately took it and began writing in the shopping cart. I was super impressed he didn't write over our groceries and the cart but he just wrote on the paper. He is constantly asking me to help him write his name or Grant's name. (He loves Grant and said today spontaneously, "I like Grant.") Grant is Hutson's first cousin. He's also telling us what he doesn't like. I gave him a pop-tart yesterday (I know...bad Mommy nutrition faux-pas) and he said, "I not like it." The kid will eat all kind of veggies and fruits but doesn't like pop-tarts.

Santa brought my kids LOTS of paper, washable markers, paint, crayons, and pencils. They're totally obsessed right now. I love the bottom picture of Hutson with a crayon in each hand. SO CUTE!
Cool reflection in your shiny table!
yay notebook! if you're lucky it will become a permanent fixture - liam is never bored if he's got his notebook with him! and it's done amazing things for his pre-writing/writing skills.
